The ocean is so many things, as beautiful and welcoming as it is powerful and intimidating. There’s undoubtedly an allure we all have to the beauty of the sea’s shifting waters, a beauty that can’t quite be captured in photos or videos.
Hold on, or maybe it can.
That photo was taken by photographer and surfer Clark Little, based in Hawaii who knows better than most the beauty of the sea. He’s never afraid to get up and close and personal with the waves, with camera in hand of course. The results of his ocean photography are just plain breath-taking.
His passion for photos of the ocean first started when his wife expressed her wish to have a wave photo framed in their home. Little convinced her not to buy one, reasoning he could take better photos himself. And boy, was he right.
His photos of 15 foot waves cresting in the glow of a beautiful Hawaii sunset are unparalleled from what I’ve seen. So scroll through the Little’s photos below, clicking on them for higher resolution, and visit clarklittle.com for more.
